The fulfillment event in BigCommerce only responds to the order status, as there isn’t a specific status for fulfillments. In this case, you can monitor the order’s progress using this resource. However, for orders with more than one linked fulfillment, the event won’t take effect, and the order status will be set to “Partially Shipped.”
